Year of the Sheep

Just uploaded 2 versions of the 2015 Year of the Sheep card. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture with my desktop scanner the the gold foil in the English and Chinese text. I spent way too much time in Photoshop using a photo image, trying to give the text a metallic look, but was not very successful and gave up; see attached image.

In case you are wondering why I have been posting cards twice: For some time now, the the SKU and NSP numbers are different for cards available at your local Starbucks store and those available on-line. For me, the cards are different, even though that difference is exceedingly small. Perhaps there are other collectors out there who feel the same way. The bottom line is, though, collect what you like!

I agree, they are definitely different cards. Even more than different event ID's, they are unique batches from the manufacturer.

There are a few of us (mad people) out there who try to collect every variation

Not only do store cards sometimes differ from those bought on the web site, I have found that cards bought on the corporate section can be different yet again !!!

Mr Dogfly3330 ... I am a passionate collector of these variations. I have compiled an extensive database of all known (by me) variations, and would be more than happy to mail you a copy for your comments. If you are interested, let me know on this forum :

Hi,

I just joined GCC. I would like to take a look at your list.
Willing to send you info that I have to add to your list as well. I get Starbucks Cards for my company thru the Starbucks Corp website and almost all of them have different SKU/NSP or even different series# at times. (I only get the regular corp versions, not the ones you pay extra for with your corp logo on them tho).

I also get a couple cards of each release at the regular starbucks store at starbucks.com as they seem to always have different SKU/NSP.

Do not want to put my email here tho. Do not know GCC well enough yet to see if another way to send you my addy. I get enough spam already.
