Hi everyone?

Where do you buy your Disney gift cards at? eBay? Disney Store?

I live 5 minutes from Walt Disney World in Florida and I went to Downtown Disney today and could only find the same four cards no matter where I went! I went to Epcot and found a few more, but I am looking for all the designs.

How often do they have new ones at the parks?

Where is the best place to buy them besides online?

Ethan

The World of Disney store usually has several dozen different designs. True, many of the check out locations have just 4 designs, but different sections of the store have different cards by their respective cash registers. You have to keep looking! There's a Princess section, where girls get their hair made up to look like, well, a princess, and where you can find many cards with Disney heroines. One section of the store is dedicated to Disney villains, where they have cards with Ursula and Maleficent. There's another section where you can find over a dozen different Disney movie related cards. There's even a children's section where you can find a couple of cards with Disney Junior designs. And don't forget to check next door at the sports shop, where's there always some sport-related Disney cards. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. I will have to give World of Disney a harder look, as every register seemed to have the same 4 designs.

By the way, when was the last time you were at WDW? Team Mickey sports store closed a few months back to make way for a new Co-Op Marketplace.

I was at WDW last November. Obviously there have been a lot of changes since then, but then something is always under construction at the theme parks.

A couple of years ago I was able to purchase several exclusive stained glass Disney gift card designs - Snow White, Belle and Cinderella - at the Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom. You pick the designs you want and a Cast Member prints them, one at a time, on a high-tech HP printer. Hopefully they still do that.

One last thing: There's a Facebook page just for Disney gift card collectors, which includes information on new releases, and where to find them. Here's the URL: https://www.facebook.com/DisneyGiftCard

Nope, the gift card printing in Town Square Theater ended in 2012. That's now a FP+ area. I spoke with someone at Disney and they confirmed that the service is no longer offered in any park or place. I was super bummed out as I never got to use it.

Yep, I am connected on the Facebook page. :)

We visited WDW Orlando last month and the World of Disney store had many new designs. Unfortunately, the minimum purchase price of a new card jumped from $5 to $15 and I was only able to buy 10 new cards. At my request, the $150 purchase price was added to a single card (which I brought with me) so the "Cast Member" at the register did not have to swipe the new cards. Although it took the assistance of a manager to get approval to do that, it was well worth the short wait. Disney staff are used to collectors at the park, just not gift card collectors, and were very accomodating. I used that card to pay for parking and to purchase food and drinks during our stay, and don't care how scratched up it gets. The rest of my new cards stayed mint-y fresh.
