I collect collections.

I collect collections.

Seriously, Gift Cards are but a small portion of what I collect. I also collect:

  • Sonic the Hedgehog memorabilia (especially plushies) (pic of a portion of the collection)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles memorabilia (the more obscure the better!)
  • Lordi memorabilia
  • Converse All-Star Chuck Taylor Hi-Tops (I have like, six pairs? Want more though.)
  • Halloween/horror stuff (props, decor, etc)
  • Candy Corn (decor etc)
  • Plushies (particularly my favorite characters)
  • Rainbow stuff (I'm very picky about the colors involved though)
  • Chapstick (I have ten or eleven at the moment; I love trying new flavors!!) (Photo)
  • Bottles (sometimes empty, sometimes full; especially obscure sodas)
  • "Antibac" Minis from Bath & Body Works (a few of them)
  • Blind Box/Bag Figures

My room is a disaster at the moment, but when I'm more organized I'll post some more pictures. :)

What do you collect besides gift cards?

Those are some really unique collections, but I love them the most because you collect what YOU like, not what other people say will be worth money someday.

I have a small unique collection of National Banknotes issued by the town I was born in. For those that don't know, prior to 1929 banknotes were issued by the individual banks, not the Federal Reserve. The notes have the name and charter number of the issuing bank on them. Here's an example of one (at random):

I have about 25% of all the known notes from my little town in Illinois, and another collector friend of mine has another 30-35% of them.

I also collect Hot Wheels-sized cars, but only of one model, the Dodge Viper. I have over 700 different, many of which are still on my old site http://www.DiecastVipers.com.

Of course I have a box or two full of gift cards, as well as over 4,000 different casino-issued VIP/Player Tracking/Room Key cards.

Oh yeah, and autographed sports cards. I work on complete sets (all autographed).

Yeah, I just collect because I enjoy it. I don't really fuss about what something might be worth some day. I'm one of those collectors who takes things out of the packages and enjoys them.

And I forgot a couple of things! I also collect vials, filled with all sorts of things, and sugar packets because why not.

That banknote collection is neat. I used to collect coins and had some really interesting one from around the world but unfortunately my collection was lost during difficult times.

I loved hot wheels as a kid! I do actually have a few Hot-Wheels-sized cars myself; but in my case I collect hearses. There were only three that I know of that are actually Hot Wheels. I'm unsure of the exact model though. 700 different, that is amazing! Must be a real job to dust that collection. ;)

I completely forgot I also collect trading cards from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. I have several of them autographed by the actors/voice actors. :D
