I realize that many collectors like collecting certain categories (restaurants for example). I've got a possible solution in mind that may appease everyone but I need to know if there are other categories that any of you focus on besides restaurants.

Don't forget! You can also create your own custom 'follow' lists by using the "Subscribe Album" links at the bottom of every gallery page. If you only want to follow certain ones (restaurants for example), just subscribe to them once and access the details via your User Control Panel!

(I know this takes some getting used to, but hopefully everyone will eventually see the light on what new features this board offers!)

Won't that only work if we have a "restaurants" album? If the cards are all over a-z and don't have the word restaurant in their name then would it work?

It will only work for those restaurants that have their own subcategory. Random mom and pop restaurants would not show up. Point is that users can create their own custom 'watch lists'.

I received an email from the author of the gallery, and he hopefully will be adding the ability to add custom fields in the next major release of the gallery software. He did not provide any timeline, but what this would do is allow us to add a "category" field to every image, and then it would/should be searchable by that.

So...it looks like eventually we'll have that ability, just not yet!

Maybe it's just me, but I wish there were a game card category. I think the old gallery had it in a separate category. There are a lot of them in a lot of different places. I know I have at least 500 game cards alone. I love my game cards! :D

Are you referring to the reservation cards for games for xbox, etc.? Or games like Farmville/etc.?
